¿Puede la tecnología acercar verdaderamente a las personas?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Los alumnos de 7º año del Colegio Miguel de Cervantes están comprobando que la respuesta es sí. Orientados por la Teacher <\/em>Dulce Nogueira, profesora de Inglés de 3er<\/sup> ciclo de Enseñanza Fundamental, esos nativos digitales y usuarios asiduos de las tecnologías de comunicación, interaccionan ahora con estudiantes de Turquía para expandir conocimientos por medio de una propuesta de trabajo interdisciplinaria, virtual y colaborativa. Es una oportunidad de compartir el día a día de adolescentes de otro país, relacionando y discutiendo los problemas ambientales comunes en la búsqueda de soluciones sostenibles.<\/p>\n

En la etapa inicial del proyecto, el intercambio de informaciones se hace por correo electrónico, en inglés, utilizándose de la plataforma ePals Global Community<\/a><\/em>1<\/sup><\/span>, un ambiente virtual gratuito, seguro y controlado. En esa fase, además del estímulo al desarrollo de la competencia lingüística en el idioma, la redacción de textos gana un sentido verdaderamente autoral, en la medida en que sus autores regulan su producción escrita a partir de la existencia concreta de un interlocutor real y de su interacción con él, poniendo el sentido comunicativo del lenguaje en primer plano y más allá de su aspecto meramente formal. En otras palabras, producir un texto deja de ser un ejercicio mecánico de la correcta disposición de las partes de una estructura a ser montada y pasa a ser decir algo a alguien con una intencionalidad clara y objetiva (Simões, 2012).<\/p>\n

Al final, los alumnos y sus nuevos e-pals<\/em> producirán presentaciones en conjunto sobre los conocimientos mutuamente construidos sobre sus respectivas realidades, cuyas etapas y resultado podrán ser acompañados en esta página web.<\/p>\n

Compartiendo distantes saberes aproximados por la tecnología, los comprometidos en ese proyecto serán capaces de identificar las semejanzas entre distintas culturas y, principalmente, de comprender y relativizar las diferencias existentes entre diferentes modos de vida: un paso importante en dirección a una convivencia más harmoniosa.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Can technology truly bring people together?<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/strong>Students in the 7th grade of Colégio Miguel de Cervantes are proving that the answer is yes. Guided by Dulce Stoll Nogueira, their English teacher, these digital natives and frequent users of communications technology are now interacting with students in Turkey to expand knowledge through a proposed interdisciplinary, collaborative and virtual project. It is an opportunity to share their daily lives with teenagers from another country, listing and discussing the environmental problems they have in common in the search for sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n

In the initial stage of the project, the information exchange is done by e-mail, in English, using the platform ePals Global Community , which is a free, safe and controlled virtual environment. In this phase, besides encouraging the development of linguistic competence, the writing of texts becomes an exercise of authorship as they regulate their production based on the concrete existence of a real interlocutor and their interaction with him, putting the communicative function of language in the foreground and beyond its purely formal aspect. In other words, producing a text ceases to be a mechanical exercise about a proper arrangement of parts of a structure to be assembled and becomes something to say to someone with a clear and objective intent. (SIMÕES, 2012).<\/p>\n

Ultimately, the students and their new e-pals produce presentations together concerning the mutually constructed knowledge about their realities; the results of these presentations can be monitored and checked on this site.<\/p>\n

Sharing distant knowledge brought closer by technology, the students involved in this project will be able to identify similarities between different cultures and, above all, to understand and contextualize the different ways of living: an important step towards a more harmonious coexistence.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
